Terms of Service

By using rankmeter.co.uk or signing up for an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Rank Meter provides:

• A free public scan showing visibility, competitors and fix recommendations for any UK business.
• Optional paid plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and one-time service packs where our team works on your Google Business Profile, citations, on-page SEO and reviews.

We are not affiliated with Google. The Business Profile, Maps and search results remain Google's property and are subject to Google's own terms.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us at hello@rankmeter.co.uk immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind the business you represent.

• Subscription pricing is in £ GBP, billed monthly via Stripe. Prices may include VAT where applicable.
• You can cancel any time from the customer portal — your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to your account email. Existing renewals continue at your locked price for one further cycle after notice.
• One-time service packs (e.g. New Business Setup, Profile Rebuild) are charged once and delivered as described on the relevant pricing page.

You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge if we have not yet started the service work — UK consumer cooling-off rights. After we begin work, the fee covers the work performed.

Recurring monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current period once the period has begun, but you can cancel future renewals from the customer portal at any time.

If we materially fail to deliver an agreed service pack, contact us at hello@rankmeter.co.uk and we will fix it or refund the package.

You agree not to:

• use the service for any business that breaches UK law or Google's Business Profile guidelines;
• scan a business you do not own or are not authorised to act for, with the intent to mislead, defame, or compete unfairly;
• attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or rate-limit-evade our public scan;
• resell our reports as your own work without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with refund pro-rated to the unused period.

We aim for high availability but do not commit to a specific uptime SLA on self-service plans. If the service is materially unavailable for an extended period we will, on request, credit a pro-rata portion of your monthly fee.

Some signals depend on third-party APIs (Google Maps, PageSpeed Insights, Companies House, Wayback Machine). When a third party is unavailable we surface that honestly in the report rather than fabricating data.

• We own the Rank Meter software, brand, scan methodology, and the reports we generate.
• You own your business data, your Google Business Profile content, and anything you upload to your account. You grant us a licence to process it to deliver the service.
• Reports we generate for you may be used internally — including sharing with your own staff or contractors — but may not be repackaged and sold.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law.

Subject to the above, Rank Meter's total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost rankings, or third-party platform decisions (e.g. a Google policy change that affects your listing).

You may close your account at any time from the customer portal. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms or that go through a chargeback without first contacting us.

Within 30 days of closure we delete your account data, except where retention is required by law (e.g. invoices kept for HMRC).

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard exclusively by the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
